How much wind is required to set up the Shibumi®?
The Shibumi® requires a minimum sustained breeze of about 3 mph to float the canopy aloft. It performs best in winds up to 20 mph, as long as the curved arch is planted facing directly into the prevailing wind.
How much shade coverage does the Shibumi® offer?
The Shibumi® provides up to 150 square feet of shade and comfortably covers 6 to 8 adults alongside beach chairs and coolers. The canopy is made from high-density polyester offering UPF 50+ sun protection.
How do you assemble the Shibumi® on the beach?
Setup takes under three minutes and can easily be done by one person. Simply assemble the shock-corded aluminum pole, slide it through the canopy sleeve, push both pole ends firmly into the sand facing the wind, and clip the filled sandbag anchor to the frame.
How heavy and compact is the Shibumi® for carrying?
The Shibumi® weighs roughly 4 pounds and packs into a compact carry bag measuring approximately 26 inches by 5 inches. Its lightweight profile makes it easy to transport by hand or pack into a beach cart.
How is the Shibumi® delivered for Sunset Beach rentals?
Your equipment is delivered to the ground level of your Sunset Beach vacation home on your reserved delivery date by {deliveryTime}. You do not need to be present at the property for delivery to take place.
What are the pickup instructions for returning the Shibumi®?
Pack the Shibumi® into its carry bag and return it to the original ground-level drop-off spot by {pickupTime} on your scheduled pickup date. Please ensure our driver can easily access the item and that it is not placed inside a locked porch, storage closet, or garage.
