FAQs about Adult Cruiser Bike w/ Child's Seat rentals at Ocean Isle Beach
What are the weight and age limits for the child seat on the Adult Cruiser Bike w/ Child's Seat?
The rear child seat has a maximum weight capacity of 35 lbs. It is designed for young children (typically 9 months to around 3 or 4 years old) who possess independent head and neck control, secured by an adjustable 5-point harness.
Can the Adult Cruiser Bike w/ Child's Seat be ridden directly on the beach?
No, this cruiser bike cannot be used on the beach sand. It is designed specifically for flat, paved surfaces, residential roads, and smooth multi-use paths, as soft beach sand can damage the drivetrain and make pedaling unsafe with a passenger.
How do the gears and brakes work on this cruiser bike?
The bike features a low-maintenance single-speed gear system and a rear coaster brake. To slow down or stop, simply pedal backward smoothly without worrying about handlebar brake levers or shifting gears.
What accessories are included with my Adult Cruiser Bike w/ Child's Seat rental?
One cable lock is included with each bike rental unit. Helmets and baskets are not included automatically, though child passengers are required to wear a certified helmet while riding.
How do delivery and pickup work for bike rentals in Ocean Isle Beach?
Equipment will be delivered to the ground level of your rental home by {deliveryTime} on your selected start date. For pickup, please return the bike and cable lock to the original ground-level drop-off location by {pickupTime} on your departure date.
Do I need to be present at the property when the bike is delivered?
No, you do not need to be present for delivery or pickup. Our delivery drivers only require unobstructed access to a ground-level area, so please make sure gates are unlocked and equipment is not placed inside locked garages or screened porches.
Where are the best paved routes to ride this cruiser on Ocean Isle Beach?
Quiet neighborhood roads such as First Street and the flat canal streets offer smooth, scenic riding across Ocean Isle Beach. Because the cruiser cannot be taken on the sand, sticking to low-traffic residential streets provides an easy, comfortable ride with a child passenger.
