The maximum weight capacity is 350 lbs, including the paddler and all gear. To ensure optimal buoyancy and avoid taking on extra water through the self-bailing scupper drains, staying within 70% to 80% of that maximum is ideal.

It performs best in calm bays, coastal marshes, slow-moving creeks, flatwater lakes, and gentle ocean surf. Its 11' 5" hull provides good tracking and glide over distance, though it is not designed for moderate-to-heavy whitewater or large ocean breakers.

It is exceptionally stable and well-suited for beginners and family paddling. The wide tri-form hull provides high primary stability on flat water, while the open sit-on-top deck makes entering, exiting, and deep-water re-entry straightforward.

The kayak is self-bailing via six molded-in scupper holes. Four drains are located in the footwell area and two in the rear tankwell to evacuate splashing water automatically. Standard scupper plugs can be added if you prefer a drier ride on calm or colder water.

The kayak features large front and rear tankwells with bungee tie-downs for coolers or dry bags, a 6-inch center hatch with an internal catch bag, and a molded-in cup holder. It also includes built-in Solo Mount recesses for mounting accessories without drilling into the hull.

The kayak weighs between 52 and 58 lbs and includes rigid molded-in side handles, plus bow and stern toggle handles for carrying. It is also built with a replaceable stern skid plate, which protects the high-density polyethylene hull when pulling it across sand, boat ramps, or grass.
